Make a Japanese sidestitch booklet. Great to do with kids. With the completed book, you can journal, collage, etc. This Krafty Kit comes with a needle, awl, thread, text paper, cover paper, and, most important, instructions! Once you’re done making the book, you’ll still have the instructions, the needle, and the awl for making an infinite number of books. Paper in kit varies.
I am a printmaker who creates artist’s books, zines, buttons, and postcards for book nerds, activists, and those with a wacky sense of humor.
My subject matter includes feminism, social justice, and humor, told through the folds of accordions and one-sheet books.
I teach classes that introduce the essence of an artist’s book structure. I share knowledge that you can’t find on YouTube.
I choose gorgeous papers and rich bookcloth because of their beauty, as well as how they invite the hands to linger. The book’s tactile nature is woven into my process—and into the experience of the book itself.

Artist’s books are "limited edition" books. Each book is part of a numbered run (e.g., 1 of 20) that will not be reprinted.
The artist’s books are hand-pulled prints (usually letterpress or linocut) and every book is handbound and sewn.
The zines are hand folded and cut.

It helps to have basic bookbinding or sewing knowledge.
If you have to cancel you must do so 7 days in advance to receive a refund. Email me if you are unable to attend due to illness, an emergency, etc.
I provide all the supplies, although you’re welcome to bring your own bookbinding supplies.

Yes gift certificates can be used for classes and products.

Expedited Shipping (Domestic): Order by December 16.
International shipping is not available for the holidays.
