Happy day!

Drum roll please … I was chosen for a grant from the City of Sacramento! Now I have money and a room of my own (my studio space)--Virginia Woolf's recipe for success.

 The city gave out 200 grants for the arts from 833 applicants. The Creative Growth Fellowship awards artists $850 monthly for a year.

 Three other folks from Broad Room also received the grant! I'm so proud of my studio mates. I feel like my artwork is finally being supported and seen by the world around me.

 This grant is going to allow me to pay rent for my studio space, to join the Craft Industry Alliance, to buy flat files (I'm looking for used ones, so if anyone knows of any, hit me up!) and art materials and business apps, to take classes, and more.

 I'm so grateful to the City of Sacramento!
